Cashel Palace

Cashel Palace

Units in pre-production stage for the refurbishment of the historic Cashel Palace Hotel in Tipperary, which will re-open in 2020. The main house is a redbrick Queen Anne-style building dating from 1730. It was built for the archbishop of Cashel, Theophilus Bolton. Architect Sir Edward Lovett designed the Irish Parliament building, now occupied by the Bank of Ireland on College Green in Dublin. The Cashel mansion was converted for hotel use by Lord Brockett in 1962.
The hotel was popular over the years with racehorse trainer Vincent O’Brien. Other celebrity visitors included Ronald Reagan, Jacqueline Kennedy, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. The Glass being used in this project is IMC Slim-glaze which will ensure that while maintaining the original look that is required due to its listed status, it will also have the best in thermal efficiency which will retain heat inside the building and using our warm edge spacer system it will act as a thermal break, stopping the cold reaching the inner pane of the unit. Starting from only 11mm thick, these heritage slim units have been the number one choice for traditional timber frames.
